ITAINNOVA is a non-profit technology centre whose main objective is to promote competitiveness in the industrial sector by means of the development, acquisition, adaptation, and transfer of innovative technologies. ITAINNOVA offers its market-oriented services providing real and innovative solutions from its lines of research and development, which transform and accelerate the technological processes of companies and new challenges in our society.
With a workforce of 230 employees, most of whom are university graduates, this centre, with offices in Zaragoza and Huesca, is contributing to the equality of men and women and being a source of talent in Aragón.
ITAINNOVA is structured into different technological areas: Materials & Components, Mechatronics & Robotics, Power Electronics, Logistics, and Software Engineering and Multimedia technologies. These activities are supported by six different labs (Mechanical, Chemistry, Environmental, Material processing, Sound and vibration and Mechanical Components). The Materials and Components Division, which will carry out the main activities in this project, integrates 70 researchers and technicians.
In EuReComp ITAINNOVA contributes to WP5 "Constituents re-use with advanced manufacturing technologies" and WP3 "Crep: Circularity by repurposing and repair - design assisted" as task leader and contributes to WP6 and WP2. ITAINNOVA's main activities are related to wind turbine blade repairing methods development and modelling, aiming to facilitate and enable the re-use path in circular routes. ITAINNOVA is involved in materials characterisation and particles/scraps compounding formulations contributing to paving new recycling circular routes. Moreover, ITAINNOVA performs structural modelling and characterisation activities in WP2, WP3, WP5 and WP6.
