BIOG3D is a SME providing performance-driven solutions enabled by Additive Manufacturing to accelerate the Technology Readiness Level through advanced prototyping. The company’s activity includes the development of new custom procedures to improve and control manufacturing methods meeting the quality targets of each application in the most efficient manner through Additive Manufacturing. The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park, in Athens, Greece and consists of a dedicated team of specialists who aim to unravel the potential of Digital Manufacturing, by utilizing advanced materials, cutting-edge physical and digital tools, towards a holistic approach for the fabrication of new products.
BIOG3D’s role among EuReComp’s consortium focuses on the exploitation of the benefits offered by digital fabrication and custom-made 3D printing equipment for fiber reinforced composite components to implement reclaimed carbon fibers as well as materials formulated within the framework of the project into the 3D printing process for the production of 2nd generation composites for automotive and marine applications.
