Last week, the AIMEN Technology Centre in Vigo, Spain, was abuzz with activity as it hosted the 2nd EuReComp Workshop. This year's event saw a significant gathering of professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts dedicated to the advancement of sustainable practices in composite materials.
The workshop featured a series of enlightening presentations, interactive sessions, and hands-on demonstrations. Key highlights included discussions on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), innovative spectroscopic techniques, and the latest developments in thermoplastic repairing and wind turbine blade repairs. Notable speakers from FAIRMAT, VENTOS METÓDICOS , AIMPLAS, ACCIONA, and CONTINUUM provided expert insights that captivated the audience.
Additionally, the workshop included training activities and presented new content from the EuReComp Moodle platform, fostering a deeper understanding of composite recycling technologies.
The event concluded with a roundtable discussion where various international experts debated future directions for the composite recycling industry. These conversations underscored the critical role of innovation and collaboration in achieving sustainability goals.
We are grateful to all attendees, speakers, and organizers for making the 2nd EuReComp Workshop a landmark event. Plans for next year's workshop are already underway, promising even more opportunities for learning and collaboration.
