Belfast, Northern Ireland, recently hosted the 23rd International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM 23) from July 30th to August 4th, 2023, offering an insightful peek into the forefront of composite materials research. The standout feature of the conference was the Special Session organized by the EuReComp team. This session zoomed in on the theme of “Circularity of Composites,” delving into sustainable practices within the composite materials domain and exploring novel approaches to address environmental concerns.

The project’s logo had to be graphically appealing, editable and meaningful in alignment with the project’s concept, goals and activities. Right after the initiation of the project, EuReComp’s first presentation took place at the JEC World Exhibition, on 3-5 May 2022, where NTUA coordinators participated at Hall 6, Booth R5 What a great venue to introduce EuReComp to the composites community! EuReComp, standing for "European recycling and circularity in large composite components" is a new 4-year Horizon Europe project, launched with a hybrid kick-off meeting on 27 April 2022. EuReComp brings together twenty project partners from 9 countries led by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). EuReComp operates under a specific Horizon Europe research and innovation action aiming to foster a digitised, resource-efficient and resilient industry (HORIZON-CL4-2021-RESILIENCE-01-01).
