On September 15-16, 2022, partners from the EuReComp project participated in the 2nd Polymer Process Innovation (PPI) Conference, organized by NTUA. The event’s topics of interest included:
· Additive manufacturing
· Advanced polymeric composites
· Developments in polymer processing
· Moulds and mold making innovations
· Polymer processing simulation
· Hybrid Moulds
· Trends in product development
· Rheology
· Sustainable use of polymers
· Polymer process innovation
In this context, EuReComp partners were involved in conversations related to the recycling of composite materials via electrochemical processes, and to the quality enhancement of carbon fibers via sizing, as emerged by the following poster presentations by EuReComp researchers:
- “Investigating Electrochemical Treatment of Carbon Fiber Composites as a Possible Recycling Technique” S. Soulis, D. Semitekolos, C. Charitidis
- “Design, Installation and Operation of a Pilot Scale Fibre Sizing Line” I. Papadopoulos, D. Semitekolos, S. Anagnou, C. Charitidis
