EuReComp’s Successful Participation in the 14th EASN Conference 2024

The EuReComp project was proudly represented at the 14th EASN International Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece from October 8 to 11, 2024. Partners from the University of Patras (UPAT) and AIMEN Centro Tecnológico delivered insightful presentations on key topics related to composite materials recycling and sustainability.


The EASN Conference brought together researchers, innovators, and industry professionals to discuss advancements in aeronautics and composite materials. EuReComp’s contributions centered on innovative recycling methods, sustainability assessments, and detection technologies.

  • Day 1 (UPAT):
    • 11:40 - 12:00 | A comparative analysis of multi-criteria decision-making methods for a holistic sustainability assessment
    • 12:00 - 12:20 | The impact of normalisation methods on the holistic sustainability assessment in engineering applications
  • Day 2 (AIMEN):
    • 17:20 - 17:40 | Business Guidance on Conformity Assessment of Reused and Repaired for Aeronautics and Wind Energy
  • Day 3 (AIMEN):
    • 14:40 - 15:00 | Automatic Detection of Defects Using Active Thermography


The presentations showcased the latest research and innovative strategies being developed by EuReComp to promote a circular economy and improve the sustainability of composite materials. The conference served as a great platform to share knowledge and collaborate with experts in the field, furthering our mission to drive sustainability in composite recycling.
