We are thrilled to announce an upcoming workshop titled “Efficient, Lightweight, Sustainable Advanced Materials – Supporting EU Industry to Meet the Green Deal Targets,” scheduled for June 6, 2024, in Brussels and online. This event is a must-attend for all industry stakeholders interested in advanced materials.
Our project coordinator Dionisis Semitekolos from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is taking part in this event and will showcase the EuReComp project. EuReComp is at the forefront of the EU's initiatives to promote sustainable composite materials recycling.
Aligned with the ambitious goals of the European Green Deal, this workshop aims to propel the EU industry towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
Why Focus on Efficient, Lightweight, Sustainable Advanced Materials?
The development and adoption of innovative, efficient, lightweight, and sustainable advanced materials and processes are crucial for the EU industry to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and move towards a circular economy. While lightweight materials are essential for achieving these goals, they also present challenges such as recycling, developing new bio-based materials, and optimizing design efficiency through the joining of dissimilar materials.
